They're all hiding.
I can smell them in the snow. Smelly. I can't see them, but I can feel them hiding in the walls. Trembling in the cool air. There are many of them, around me. But not the grow-ups. They are all walking numbly with their gift bags as usual. They keep on walking and walking, feel nothing. |
