it's the first page of my manga, though dunno when could I finish it anyway....

it took a while for me to recollect the scenes from my hometown back to my 10ish, those old walls, endless narrow Hutongs, ancient houses back to 200 years ago, and the little stores selling fruits by the streets, chunky bikes branded "forever".....

and in the winter, I like orange best. chilly and sour. it's just like the smile of the girl next door, who's name was also "orange" in chinese. My secret first love.

"My secret first love" Those words truly gripped me, adding even more inexplicable emotion and detail to the piece. The background is simply gorgeous! The attention you put into detail and the girl's face--beautiful!

sometimes, i think that memoirs make for the best pieces.

perhaps it's because i feel like i'm looking through a little keyhole into a small part of your life.
